A Cedar Hill family’s emotional request to bury their infant grandson on their own property led the latest Jefferson County Council meeting. Also discussed were Highway 30 safety, an alleged Peaceful Village boundary discrepancy and several county projects.
Hillsboro school leaders are preparing to welcome students back while making budget adjustments expected to save roughly $400,000 this year. The district is also adding new portable security screening equipment that can be moved between the high school, junior high, athletic field, and other locations as needed.
