Experience Required: None. Instincts preferred.

The Jefferson County Animal Resource Center has several barn cats looking for their next assignment. These cats came to the shelter for a variety of reasons and have made one thing pretty clear: the indoor house-cat lifestyle just isn’t for them. They’re a little too rowdy for the couch, but they may be perfect for the barn.
Their duties include patrolling the property, keeping an eye on suspicious rodent activity, looking important while sitting on hay bales, and generally earning their keep. All they ask in return is a safe, warm place to bed down, plenty of food and fresh water, and a property they can call home.
If your barn is currently understaffed in the rodent-control department, stop by the Jefferson County Animal Resource Center to meet the available barn cats and find the newest members of your team.
