County Dispatch
What started as a storm disrupted meeting turned into a two night look at where Festus stands today. Residents pushed for transparency, council slowed a major decision, and new leadership was approved. There were moments of tension, but also signs that trust may be starting to rebuild.
What if one of the most important industries affecting your home had no real training standard? A new Jefferson County business is working to change that. The Foundation Rescue Training Center is aiming to bring structure, accountability, and opportunity to foundation repair. Here is why it matters for homeowners, workers, and the future of the industry.
A packed agenda turned into something much bigger. From an emotional community fundraiser to major budget warnings and new investments, the Fox C-6 board meeting revealed both the strength and the challenges facing local schools.

Adoptable Pet of the Week
My name’s “Flukie,” and I’m the missing piece to your family’s puzzle!
I’m a handsome Shepherd and Husky mix, just over 1 year old, and full of charm, curiosity, and fun. I made a brief appearance here back in December, but now I’m officially on the search for a forever home that truly appreciates everything I bring to the table.
I’ll be honest—I love exploring, meeting new friends, and checking out the neighborhood (including the nursing home… I was just being friendly, okay?). I thrive in the play yard, enjoy learning new things, and absolutely LOVE hanging out with other dogs. I’m an outgoing, social butterfly who’s always ready for the next adventure.
One small note: cats are a no for me. They’re just not my cup of tea, so I’m looking for a feline-free home where I can be my best self.
If you’re searching for a fun, affectionate, and active companion who’s ready to put down roots and stick by your side, I’m your guy!
My adoption fee is $50, and it includes: Vaccinations Deworming Flea and tick treatment Wellness exam with our vet
If you’re ready for a loyal sidekick with a big personality and an even bigger heart… what are you waiting for? I’m here and ready to make my mark on your life!
